Chambourcin Reserve

A French-American Hybrid grape strong on it own. This grape variety is full of color and is considered less robust then a Cabernet. At Keels Creek we leave our Chambourcin on the skins a fair amount of time alowing more intensity of color and flavor to emerge. Flavor notes of cherry, blackberry, cassis and a hint of raspberry. We like to pair Chambourcin with pasta and lasagna. Our most favorite pairing is with lamb.

The Chambourcin Reserve has been aged slightly over three years in American oak, imbuing it with a supply mellowed flavor that exeplifies the refinement of Chambourcin. Rightfully so the reserve has been awarded many awards. The batch has earned 14 awards and counting.
